rushing as a junior

by: Junior

I'm transferring to SMU in the fall as a junior. Is there a chance that any sorority would give me a bid. I have good grades and had I been at the right school I definitely would've rushed freshman year.

Yes. There is a free junior rule, so houses can give a junior a bid that doesn't count towards quota. Rush as a junior is competitive, so you're going to need good recommendation letters (get those now) and friends in sororities. Luckily our rush is in January so you can make connections your first semester. Make sure to go to fall rush events for each house. Good luck and welcome to SMU!

Thank you so much for the info! Does SMU do COB or informal in the Fall for upperclassman as well? If they do, which houses usually participate?
