Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Temple University - TU 3.0 I've been going back and forth with myself about whether I was going to post this, but I finally decided that I need to share this common experience. When it comes to DZ, forget everything you've ever heard about recruitment (have good grades, be friendly, etc). They care about none of that. On the first day, this group of women cut essentially every PNM who was heavier set, darker skinned, or not up to their superficial standards of looks. At first, I as did many women, blamed myself.

But as I talked to more and more people who got cut, things didn't make sense. Girls with the best personalities, grades, extra curriculars, and so much more were dropped for seemingly no reason. And that's when I noticed the pattern. We all felt discriminated against during DZs round, as if we weren't being taken seriously. Our chances were over before we even had a conversation. My purpose of writing this is to let future PNMs know not to internalize any cuts when it comes to DZ. They have recruitment practices that should really be checked out. There is nothing wrong with you, and whichever chapter you end up in will be thrilled to have you.

Coming from DZ and a voting room I never ever ever heard a girl get cut for her skin color. I don't care what else you say cause I know what's true and rumors are bound to happen, but that is just completely false and disgusting. It actually makes me sick to think of that happening. And if I saw that happen, trust me when I say I wouldn't be in dz anymore. It just appalls me that someone would say that because it just isn't true.

"it just appalls me that someone would stay that because it just isn't true"....are you kidding me? dz, you are in no position to get defensive here. a girl put out her honest opinion of what she felt in your recruitment room (and wasn't rude about it), and instead of taking the constructive criticism you attack. you guys have a HORRIBLE track record with race issues, did you forget that? your sisters say the n-word for no reason, and rightfully got called out. you have no black or overweight girls in your chapter, except maybe one. stop trying to act like what we all know isn't true; you guys are the least diverse org on this campus. so that girl's reflection could not be far off.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Temple University - TU 4.0 From my interactions they seem very friendly and outgoing! Sweet down to earth girls. Hugeee chapter though so I definitely don't know or can speak for them all.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Temple University - TU 2.2 no personality to the point where it's painful to talk to them. so shallow it hurts. they make themselves look good by pushing the most attractive sisters to the front and ignoring the others. there is so much drama within this sorority it's pointless to even join. I dodged a bullet when I decided not to go DZ.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Temple University - TU 5.0 absolutely love dz. best girls with such strong friendship, understanding, and compassion. they're smart and sweet and have made a huge impact on my daughters time at temple. don't listen to the negatives here at all, coming from someone who's seen it all, these girls are champs.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Temple University - TU 2.2 basically the typical high school pretty girls got together in one sorority. more shallow and self absorbed, however i know some really sweet girls in there! overall, an org you want to be a part of if you want a brand name sorority, otherwise, you won't get much out of your time. But very social girls who like to party.
