are sororities important here?
by: Fresh2022I officially committed to Geneseo a few days ago and I was wondering what the sororities here are like and if sororities are important to be in? I am down to join one, but if it's not a popular choice then I don't need to be in one! Can someone let me know what it's like?

So its pretty hard to go out in Geneseo without being in an organization since most parties are closed due to the town passing strict laws against underage drinking. So if you want to go out I would recommend joining something- greek organizations, sports teams, and club sports definitely party the most. Also while about 1/3 of Geneseo students are in a greek organization, Greek life here is pretty casual compared to large universities and southern schools.
