fall rush

by: Girl2021

I’m a freshman and didn’t end up pledging this semester. I am interested in doing clio in the fall as a sophomore, and just wanted to know if it is harder to get a bid since there’s there less time to rush? Or should I try to start reaching out to rush now so I have a better chance?

They took 3 girls, one depledged and waited until this semester to pledge them. They’re a dying sorority they’ll have like 20 girls next year national is the way to go now

They're not a dying sorority they like being small and are selective about who they take. National isn't the way to go for everyone, especially if you like being in a smaller org.

I think you can consider them a dying sorority if they're gonna be down to 25 girls next semester

Some frats are that small and it doesn't mean they're dying. Clio clearly still has girls interested in them and they have a good reputation in terms of being close and going out. I'd hardly call that dying.

honestly they might have to do that in the fall...they can't afford to have any more de-pledges like they did this year or lose rushes to other organizations because of the hazing....not worth the risk in my opinion

If you like Clio that's great! But only rush in the fall if you are 100% that's the only org you want to do and if you think you have a really really good shot of getting in. Otherwise use the time between fall and spring rush to put yourself more out there to Clio, or explore the other organizations on campus. RLK and Phi Lamb also do fall rush - AOPi used to, hopefully they will get their suspension overturned.

Clio usually takes girls in the fall along with all the other locals except for AGO. Hopefully AOPi can get off suspension because a 2 year suspension was extremely harsh. It definitely wouldn't hurt to reach out! People generally get excited about their sororities so if you tell them you're interested in clio it will help to get your name out.

about half of their sorority is graduating but that doesn't mean they won't take big pledge classes to come. Numbers don't matter when you're in a local- the point of being a local is to be small and actually be friends with your entire sorority..... Over 60 girls and you shouldn't even be considered a local anymore. Better to be a true local than a wannabe national
