The first couple weekends, freshman are likely to be turned away from most parties because they're closed and there's gonna be a ton trying to get in. Your best bet would be to go to afters, which is when the scheduled parties end and the houses open up more (afters start at 12ish). While there, meet people in Greek life and you may get invited out for the next weekend! Hope that helps

either join an organization that has parties (sports team, and some other orgs do it) or rush greek life. freshman guys can only get into closed parties if a frat is trying to rush them and invites them out. Freshman girls can only get into closed parties if a sorority is interested in them and invites them out as a rush. Freshman can find ways to get into parties sometimes, but generally they stand a better chance at afters when everything is more loose. At afters you can sometimes just slide in, and other times you will need to know guys in the frat hosting the party bc they often ask at the door "who do uk here". so basically try to make friends in greek life. The statesmen is also a fun place where people party, and its a bar thats open to anyone 18+. I think they lost their liquor license this past year? but just pregame hardcore before u go to dance.

If you're a girl, it's easier to get in. Frats will let girls in more times than not; however, girls in the organization might kick you out once you get into the party. I got into a ton of parties as a freshman, but I think it's gotten a lot more closed/strict since I was.

If you're a guy, good luck unless you know someone in the org or you're rushing the frat. But there will be open parties your first weekend there!!
