nationals vs local (particularly rlk)?

I'm rushing next month, but am looking at 3 nationals and 1local (RLK). I like the future networking options of the nationals and that they're friendly as well, and also that they're "real Greek", but really like the sisterhood and friendliness of RLK despite the fact that they're local and not Greek themselves (not that it really matters). What are the pros and cons of each? Obviously I'll see during rush, but I like the fact that nationals are held accountable to PanHel, but RLK seems great too!

To rush national you have to rush all 5, arethusa just recently joined PanHel because they were dying. You have no choice but to rush all of them so you need to go in with an open mind and open heart because you never know which one you'll like.

Rushing national was the best discussion I could have ever made and I'm so happy in my organization! Rushing national can be hard because you have to rush now all four plus thusa, but I really recommend it. RLK is a great sorority too, you really can't go wrong!

Kappa and SDT are the most selective of the nationals. i had plenty of friends who I rushed with last semester who had Kappa down as their first choice and they got cut the first or second round from them.

Just be yourself and you'll end up with the right group of girls for you! Go to the pre-rush events and join the Facebook groups and don't be afraid to put yourself out there. As far as National v. Local, National gives you more connections for sure and a larger group of girls more times than not! RLK is a great local though!

I'm just afraid there's going to be so many girls, I won't be able to make an impression!

Yes I'm National and it's great!! During rush we have ways of making sure all girls get talked to and get time with many different sisters so just be yourself and relax it's not so scary once your there (but I was scared at first when I was in your shoes too so it's normal!) hope this helps!

If you're a freshman don't count on getting a bid from RLK. They usually only take upperclass girls, it's got something to do with their voting-in process and also the fact that a lot of upperclass girls rush and get priority.
