spring sorority rush different this year?

I heard that much more sororities than normal are doing spring rush this year, something about how numbers need to be increased because the new sorority has a lot of members and everyone else needs to catch up? This is what other girls are saying, any truth to it? I'd rather rush in the spring than have to wait until next fall.

i know a bunch of top tier sororities are forced to participate in spring rush, because they didn't meet the quota they choose prior to fall rush. its an awesome thing if some of the better sororities participate in spring rush, because it will give those who didn't succeed or participate in fall rush a chance at a top tier sorority!
