why does everyone care about socials so much

why does every want to know who each sorority socials with so bad? it sounds bad, but as long as you are not in one of the "bad" sororities (bottom 6 or so) you will probably end up at one of the "top" frats by the end of the night..... it doesnt matter who you social with theyre not going to turn away attractive girls at the door
