does going into rush as a junior lower your chances at getting a bid to a sorority?

Every house needs a 21 year old pledge to go on alc runs

its tough...sororities definitely won't take more than like one maybe two juniors, if that. i get that a lot of girls come from branch campuses and want to rush, but you should really consider if you really want to be in a sorority now. your pledge class will be 2 years younger than you. you will only have 3 semesters as an initiated sister. and you turn 21 junior year, so you'll be going to the bars, not really depending on a greek life social schedule. unless you REALLY want to be in a sorority I kinda don't know if its worth it as a junior. your options will be really limited (lower tiers are much more likely to pledge a junior)

I joined a sorority the fall of my junior year and do not regret it at all! Before I transferred to Penn State, I rushed my freshman year and dropped my bid, but I always knew I still wanted to be apart of greek life! Formal sorority recruitment can be unbearable, but totally worth it if its something you really want to do! I met my best friends through it, good luck with whatever you decide :)
