If you want the best possible advice, ignore the tiers. Tiers are essentially a ranking of which sororities guys think have the most hot and easy members. They want to party with these girls because they think they have a high probability of getting laid. Do you really want to base your decisions about who your best friends are going to be based on that criteria? Go through recruitment with an open mind. Meet the members of all the chapters. Follow your heart and find you place where you click with the most people. Believe me, tiers might seem important to you during recruitment but once you get initiated, it makes no difference at all. You can have fun in every chapter.

Members choose to be in a particular sorority, so none of them is going to be embarrassed, and all Panhel sororities are respectable and worthy of pride. It's simple: Make a sincere effort to get to know members of multiple sororities, keep an open mind, and BE YOURSELF. You'll know you've found your sorority when you can just be you, and wherever that is, you will be PROUD of your house and letters! Pay absolutely no mind to tiers. Just find your tribe, and never forget that the point of sorority membership is lifelong sisterhood, friendship and community.

Spot on! You can tell if someone is being fake or genuine. If you feel like you are being judged or cant be your authentic self, run! That is not your sorority. Focus on finding sisters, not on the tier mentality.

The top tier sororities are the ones whose members don't give a hoot about tiers! In these houses, you'll find women who are confident about themselves, comfortable in their own skin, and aspire to things far greater than simply being deemed "a hot lay" by some immature frat boy.
