sorority recruitment as a sophomore

by: maddi

How challenging is it to get a bid during fall recruitment as a sophomore? I made the decision not to rush in the fall because I wanted to get myself settled in, and now I really regret it and I'm going to go through recruitment in Fall '13. I'm just curious to know what my chances are.

pretty easy because each sorority has to meet a sophomore quota. and not as many sophomores rush as freshman

If you go through recruitment and don't suicide a chapter on preference night, you'll definitely get a bid.

You shouldn't have any trouble. I did that when I was a sophomore because I also wanted to get a feel for the campus and my classes. Waiting did give me a chance to get a better idea of the sororities and their reputations. I felt going into rush I knew which ones were better suited for me. On bid night I was thrilled with 2 of my 3 bids and ended up with a perfect match!

What's it like to rush as a sophomore instead of as a freshman?
