It means that there won't be formal recruitment for sororities where you meet every house. Sophomores will be personally invited to informal parties where they know members. Invites will be extended to a select few girls who probably already know people in the chapter (friends, roommates, classmates, etc). It is more like fraternity rush has been. If you are a freshman, or sophomore who doesn't know anyone, you will have to wait for formal recruitment in the spring. If you know a sorority member, it is best to talk to them before the end of this year and express interest on getting invited to their events.
