do sororities really care about gpa?

i'm a freshman who wants to rerush in the fall, but i bombed first semester. Even if I do really well this semester, my overall gpa still isn't going to be that great. how much do sororities care about the gpa/am i even allowed to rush?

Greek life, especially pledging, takes a great deal of time. If your grades are sub-par you should focus on that and not consider recruitment. The chapters want people with high GPAs and involved in lots of activities. Perhaps it is not for you.

during open houses of recruitment if you don't have a certain gpa then sororities won't consider you
