sorority hazing

i can personally say i am in a "top tier" sorority and after being assured by our pres and council that we wouldn't be hazed and that hazing isn't a thing at penn state for sororities, we WERE hazed. after the hazing went down the topic never came up again and the topic has been completely avoided. Hazing here IS real for sororities and almost all of my friends here in other sororities have had similar experiences.
not saying that every single sorority here engages in hazing, but many do and try to cover it up. if you are planning on rushing be prepared for the possibility. dont fall prey to the lies older girls in your sorority will tell you. they may tell your pc for weeks that there is no such thing as hazing here and then it will happen.

I'm in an upper middle tier sorority and was not hazed in the slightest bit.

I AM in a top tier sorority and was never hazed. Goes to show that this isn't a matter of tiers!!!

I'm in a mid to lower mid sorority, and it's not always the higher up the harder it is. Maybe a little more likely, but not necessarily. My PC was never hazed, but friends in another sorority in my "tier" were. I don't want to tell you to expect it, but prepare yourself. Also, no one on here will probably ever tell you which sorority it was.
