by: Quick QuestionWhat are these rankings based off of? Both sororitys and frats seem to have a lot of aspects not represented here. For instance, if rating frats on parties, I've heard on this site everyone agree that Beta Sig and D Chi having the best party scene. Yet why is Beta Sig typically ranked behind both SAE & Pike? I just don't get where these ranking come from. sorority wise there is absolutely no way to rank them unless you're going by tangible things like money raised through philanthropy. You can argue that it's based on "attractiveness" but without letters who can really distinguish an A Phi girl from a KD girl from a Pi Phi girl?

The rankings aren't based on anything anymore other than the fact people think they deserve more entitlement and status than others. A lot of frats have good parties yet don't get shown in the rankings for it, look at sig ep or another one like it. A lot of the middle sororitys have super pretty girls and the upper has a lot not so pretty people yet it doesn't get mentioned or shown in rankings. Why? Because these rankings were established long ago (seems to oddly never update) and people just think they deserve more status than other people for no reason. So just don't take it personally. Just a high school mentality amongst immature 20 year olds.
