can someone explain socials?

As a new member of a sorority, I am very confused about socials in general. How are they organized? Who decides who socials with who? I don't understand why all of the sororities socialize with all the fraternities and vice versa. I feel like we would be able to fade so much of the tier systems presence on campus just by having everyone socialize with everyone equally.

i think u meant to say why don't all the frats socialize with all the sororitys but yeah frats pick who they wanna hang with

Sororities pick too. Sororities can be just as picky as frats.

Its really sad how this happens. The orgs who believe they are "top tier" strive to only social with those of equal status. It blows because all of us like to party and do the same things, not sure why we have to polarize ourselves.
