Just because PSU sororities don't have houses and isn't in the south doesn't mean that rush isn't just as intense. Yes, almost everyone is guaranteed a bid but this is because we have nearly 20 different sororities, that is more than Alabama folks. And because they rely on so many girls dropping out throughout the process. Some people's hearts WILL get broken and tears will be shed if you don't go in with an open mind. Many girls will quit on the spot the mornings when you get your lists back, tears will be shed. Rush is extremely competitive because lets face it, Penn State girls have beauty and brains. Don't rely on "connections" you might have and don't go in wanting one or two sororities and that's it, because you will be let down. Make sure to take a look at the girls around you in the sororities that you talk to because these girls will be the people you spend all of your time with, not the girls that you are talking to.
