In Light of Recent Events (Race and BLM)

by: rownfiwefjoe

Can someone explain to me why Greek life at Binghamton is divided among race? I know it's not done on purpose, but is there any effort to integrate Greek life at Binghamton. I think with all that is happening recently, I think it creates an opportunity to talk about what we can do as Greek Life at BU to integrate our societies and do more outreach and partnerships with the local community and student groups that support the minority community in Binghamton.

Because they are multicultural orgs. There are the panhel orgs, multicultural orgs, and pre-professional orgs. Many of the panhel orgs do have good diversity while others don’t. Saying that greek life at bing “is divided by race” (excluding the multicultural orgs) is just not completely true.

Yea some frats and sororities are actually very diverse and some aren’t at all. It’s not an issue with Greek life as a whole but with just certain orgs
