off campus rush events

I'm interested in rushing an off campus sorority, but don't really know any of the girls, are there only rush events for the on- campus sororities? Or ones I could attend for the off-campus ones too?

only way to get invited to off campus rush events is by meeting one of the sisters, another girl who is rushing or maybe a guy introduces you to someone
