They hate each other, hate Greek life, hate this school, and hate anybody that even tries to reach out to try to help them. They hate. This is not merely what they do; it is simply who they are. Haters. Nothing more...at least at present. Pure haters. They let people walk all over them their Brothers or Sisters, their friends, and their letters...which they are even afraid to wear openly—their First Amendment rights be damned, by themselves, not just by their enemies in the administration! They act, speak, and think like the born losers they appear to be...Welcome to Albany!

Greek life is not dying out; it is being exterminated by the corrupt school because they hate fraternities here. The City of Albany has become a very dangerous place: double-digit homicide figure last year, up from two in 2016...and there is no social life any more. Hostile territory for a Greek life.

Everybody is so paranoid and distrustful of each other at Albany. Just follow the discussion threads and read the various posts. There is no alumni support for Greeks and everybody hates and suspects everybody else. It is hunting season year-round on traditional Greek fraternities and sororities and all of the student bars are closed except one, which is now hard to get into. Albany is a social wasteland and the student ghetto is physically dangerous. Violent crimes against students are on the rise. The city had fifteen (15) homicides just last year! This was unheard of back in the day. Greeks now live in a climate of official persecution, legal harassment, and violent crime. Garbage collection in the city is sporadic; consequently there was a yellow-jacket infestation in the student ghetto as late as September when I visited that neighborhood. The City is totally unrecognizable today. Sad times...

Basically gone on top of that no bars. Don’t come to Albany if you want nightlife lol, good academics tho
