sororities at yale

Thoughts on all four sororities. I'm interested in rushing but want to know a bit more about each one (especially the new one).
Thanks

Everything I could find online about the different sorority reps (wouldn't let me include links)
"Each Panhellenic has a distinct reputation on campus: Kappa takes nice, but sometimes “weird,” girls; Theta is the “party” sorority; Pi Phi is full of athletes. These stereotypes change over the years."
"While Theta may have a reputation for being the most prestigious sorority or Kappa for being the most diverse, no more cohesive classification system guarantees or foresees membership. As a result, even from within, sororities can sometimes take second priority to other activities and fade into the backdrop of Yale's social scene. "There are so many other sorority and frat-type things at Yale," Janet Yang, TC '07, said. "Everyone in Pi Phi is really involved with a million other things, so it takes time out of concentrating to publicize Pi Phi.
"Theta was the first sorority at Yale, and is generally considered to be the most prestigious and the most blonde. Theta is also seen as the most social of the sororities; they are the most likely to be seen at nightclubs or throwing parties. Theta has acquired a reputation, fairly or not, for “excessive friendliness;” an entry in the Yale Herald’s loutish Valentine‘s Day issue thanked Theta “ from the men of Yale for being so easy. “Kappa Alpha Theta is the only sorority with an actual house on High Street and is credited with the most polished recruiting operation of the sororities."

CTD:
"The members of Kappa are diverse in background and interests; this can be a strength and a weakness, for Kappa lacks the strong culture and cohesiveness that the others sororities possess. Kappa has, in past years, struggled to maintain a viable size; the Pan-Hellenic Council’s rule restricting each sorority to 40 members has helped Kappa by limiting the growth of its rivals.
Prestige-wise, Kappa remains in the second tier, behind Kappa Alpha Theta and Pi Beta Phi. Male Greek-watchers seem to view Kappa sisters as generally less attractive than their Theta and Pi Phi counterparts.
"Pi Beta Phi vies with Kappa Alpha Theta for the title of most attractive sorority. Though Pi Phi is a highly social group, it is seen as less social than Theta. Like Theta, Pi Phi has a strong internal culture and is often successful at recruiting the students it is looking for. Their apartment, though in the best location of the three (above Caffé Adulis on College Street), is used only for private parties. Pi Phi is reputed to have a higher concentration of athletes than the other sororities."

WKND piece CTD:
"What up, Pi Phi???
I’m a fun-loving girl looking to meet similar people! I played lacrosse through high school and am really missing that team bond. With Pi Phi, I hope to regain that lurvee connection, a sisterhood for life.
I want more of a traditional sorority feel, where girls attend all of the events and are just, like, happy to be there! I know I will! I also love dressing up, which I hear is your specialty. I will commit 100 percent to actualizing the themes. I already have my neon bras for Highlight.
Just like the girls in Pi Phi, boys have always loved me, but mostly because I’m approachable. No one has ever found me too beautiful to even bother talking to me. Shoutout to EGH and all my Buckley girls! PPL!"

"The group Barbara Bush really wanted to be part of was the Pundits, the folks who throw the school’s famous “naked parties” and streak through the library during finals week, but they didn’t tap her. She also joined Kappa Alpha Theta, Yale’s oldest, highest-tier sorority (Jenna was in the UT chapter), full of girls from Dalton and Horace Mann. “Barbara tended to go through female friends rather quickly,” says a classmate. “There would be two or three girls who would be attached to her hip and then she’d ditch them."
"At Yale, Kappa Kappa Gamma is the worst sorority. Pi Phi and Theta are tied for top with both getting the "best" i.e. hot, rich, WASP, etc."
#16by: Just meet them yourself!
You will find girls you click with more in some than others. That is great because there are options from which to choose.
A Phi is new, but the girls seem for the most part nice. You don't know how it'll continue as years go on, but I'm sure if you join you will find a way to make it what you want! Rush and see what you feel.
Pi Phi is a group of generally really nice girls. They are super involved on campus and super spirited to make great friends in Pi Phi and to do the million other things they do. They have a rep for partying, but the sorority is a mix of all different types of girls.
Theta also has some great girls. Just like all of the other sororities certain teams etc. tend to keep going to Theta, but that's going to happen anywhere so quit worrying about it. Again, there are so many girls in Theta you really can't label them all by the same reputation!
Kappa seems like another happy, friendly group of girls. Sometimes they get a bad rep, but they love each other and that's what sisterhood is about, so that seems great.
Just rush and see who you click with and then choose them!
