Unfortunately, alcohol has become a central focus of fraternity life on campus here and nationwide and SigEp wants to demonstrate clearly that our priorities lie with preparing young college men to become confident, values based leaders. SigEp offers the leadership we need now.

Students go to college to develop personally and professionally. Some fraternity facilities house brothers in environments that harm rather than help those goals by forcing brothers to go elsewhere to study during parties-- but SigEp's new program to have a substance-free facility provides a very conducive environment for doing what students go to college to do.

they'll definitely find a way around it guys. sig ep barely has alcohol at their parties anyway lol, they always run out quickly and don't buy a lot to begin with. they will prob continue to serve drinks but it prob won't be that much

Dry frat, even for people 21 and over. If they have parties with alcohol, they lose the house. But without parties with alcohol, they lose Theta.

Realistically this just is not going to happen, they have ALREADY had Camp Yale parties with alcohol..... i realise this is a new policy but policies are ignored in greek life/partying all the time....

I wonder if taking alcohol out of the Sig Ep house will work like Prohibition and push students to riskier behaviors in other locations?
