is ysi open?
by: ripI didn't get any society letters (rip) so I'm wondering when YSI is opening this year/what other options I should be exploring. thx ppl

Hi! So YSI has officially disbanded (completely over). All of the original constituents are doing their own independent tap process. However, I believe some seniors were interested in some committee to form new societies and having applications to join. But no guarantee demand will be met.

Yale doesn't run societies. You can always try to start your own if you don't get into one. It's really not a big deal. The remaining 3-4 YSI societies are most likely still going to send out an application form, they just won't be able to guarantee spots for everyone.

I really hope some SJW senior types see the incredible inequity in this obsolete and discriminatory practice at Yale and start more societies so ALL can have an equal experience in meeting new people. I mean this is against all we stand for. I'd even like to see more new societies like Quorum who take matters into their own hands!
