very INTERESTING that all the alpha phi girls are saying their own event was super successful. really?? That's a shocker. From what I witnessed, the food was almost nonexistent alpha phi was too cheap for an open bar. Even Senior class council could manage that haha. The turnout was small, even if they did "sell out" as they claim. Not a "wide appeal" or financially accessible like the other sorority events

not financially accessible. you're right. but 250 people is a pretty big turnout, i mean harvest's capacity is 250 people so what else are they gonna do...

Okay their brunch was super successful in terms of turnout and how much they raised but the tickets were so expensive which is why people assumed no one would go... but the people who DID go are the types of people who can afford to spend money that way. Like I appreciate what APhi did and how much money they raised, I just with this philanthropy event had been more accessible to students with different economic backgrounds

Surprisingly, Aphi's boozy brunch at Harvest yesterday really showed everyone else up philanthropy-wise. I don't think anyone thought that many people would go. I'd say the only comparably successful event is Pi Phi Highlight (since no one actually goes to Theta Carnival besides the girls themselves and I don't think Kappa has a party philanthropy anymore) and even then at $5 a ticket that def doesn't compare to this $25 (??) a ticket event that sold out in terms of profit. Should be interesting to see if/how the other three sororitys up their philanthropy game in response.

NEW ON GREEKRANK

If you compare red dress gala at the Omni a couple years ago which no one went to to boozy brunch at Harvest which was sold out, and the hotness/selectivity of pledge classes from year to year, and the fact that they used to have no house but now have a brand new one, it's pretty clear that APhi is on the rise. And the only girls who argue against that are in Pi Phi because they're upset about not having a house anymore and slipping in tier. Ask anyone on campus — this is common opinion

They sold out brunch tickets which was pretty much a bougie darty between APhi/Leo

Where did this "snotty girls" rumor come from?? They're the most welcoming and friendliest girls, and their mantra is that you can be who you are and you don't have to fit into any stereotype. Yes they've become more exclusive as they rise in rank, but the fact that they look for a diversity of girls in background and interests has not changed. And I applaud them for that.

It depends who you're asking. If you ask who's better, Pi Phi or APhi, internationals/rich kids will say APhi and fratty/party people will say Pi Phi. It literally is up to what your scene is and where you feel most comfortable.

APhi may be better now than they were when they first came to Yale but they are scrutinized under nationals to a tee, that can't be fun...
