transfers rushing...?

by: transfer student

Hi there,
Im currently attending a large SEC school, and while I do love it here, I am interested in transferring to Elon for a smaller student population.

I'm also very interested in sorority recruitment; does an incoming sophomore transfer stand a chance during the delayed rush you guys do?

thanks!

Yes, plenty of sophomores get bids, especially transfers. It definitely helps to have friends in a sorority when you're a sophomore, but, don't worry, that will happen naturally. You'll be great!

Not trying to scare you, but I just want to you to be aware. It's hard to rush as a sophomore. I am not a sophomore, but I know so many pretty and nice sophomores there are that just didn't get bids this spring. So don't let this scare you but come here knowing that it won't be easy!

As a transfer sophomore, your chances are much better.

You definitely can rush and get a bid as a sophomore, especially as a transfer, but know that it is more difficult. Because so many girls are rushing for not very many spots now, just be aware that it is getting difficult even for freshmen. It totally depends on the person though. I rushed as a sophomore and joined a sorority that is perfect for me. And everyone is required to take a few soophomores anyway so its def possible. Not as easy though
