I think it will be your attitude towards sororities and greek life that will determine what people say. If you are openly hostile, or speak badly people will label you as an angry independent that failed at recruitment (even if you withdrew yourself because greek life isn't for you). If you are honest and just say i wasn't interested in greek life, supportive of your friends that did join sororities and not speak badly, then people will just think you wanted to be independent and leave it alone. Greek Life isn't for everyone. There are plenty of independents that are welcome and hang out with sorority members.

It's totally fine to feel that greek life is not for you, but if you chose to drop out of recruitment you need to stay positive to all of your friends that stay through recruitment and find their place! Also because greek life is so prominent here at Elon it makes your life a lot easier to not hate on greek life I know you don't see it now as a freshman but greek life is huge and it will change your friendships if you let it
