I am a freshman girl and I have a long term/long distance boyfriend that attends a different college. I was wondering what would I do for date parties and formals? Is this a common thing or would I kind of be alone in this situation?

You aren't alone in it. Some girls just bring guy friends to formals/date parties. Some girls have their boyfriends come in for formals. But I'll be honest, very few long distance relationships last through spring.

There are plenty of girls who have long distance relationships. you are not alone, I promise. Of course everyone wants to have their bf come to the date parties but in reality, it doesn't always work out so many girls just bring their girlfriends to the parties. Trust me if you do this, it wont be awkward.
