twas the night before recruitment

‘Twas the night before recruitment, when all through the Elon
Not a student was stirring in the place where we belong
The Loy Center was quiet and each house cleaned with care,
In hopes that the PNMs soon would be there.

The PNMs were nestled all snug in their beds,
While Panhellenic chapters danced through their heads.
The rush chairs sitting up all night in their letters,
Their brains a flutter thinking of future new members.

Now Allie! Now Sarah! Now Liz and Kelly!
On Jessica! On Lindsey! On Anna and Melly!
Recruitment is so much fun – we will all have a ball!
Now recruit away! Recruit away! Recruit away all!

A bid, the potential new members will strive to receive,
They are respectful and gracious, and who intellectually achieve.
Actives want you to join their a lifetime sisterhood,
And excellence – never settling for average, being better than good!

On Day One the Pi Chis give their groups a whistle,
And away the doors will open, they’ll fly like a missile,
We will hear them exclaim as they go out of sight,
