Elon Does Not Pay Property Taxes

As people have seen all the local restaurants and businesses are closed and hurting in Elon. Supposedly the Town depends on the sales tax dollars to operate. They are starting gofundme's to help these local businesses out. They want students to donate during these hard times. Ok, but better idea.
Umm, how about the University stops hoarding land and not paying the property taxes on them? If the University pays a fair tax on this then the Town will be in a much better place permanently in the future. Why is skipping out on paying taxes such an accepted thing?
I can't believe they gave the nerve to ask us for donations. We're already getting screwed on the classes, dorms and meal plan.

Clearly not M&S material, they made a killing buying the school and rebuilding elsewhere. They got rid of traffic and got prime location land. That was no charity. They snuck that purchase on the download to avoid the competition.
The Town cannot afford things, because Elon ducks out on their taxes claiming they make up for it in sales taxes based on all our (student) expenditures. They get away with it, because the Town of Elon officers are mostly university shills.
I feel bad for the local businesses, but this is not the student's responsibility. It's the Town, University's responsibility and the local residents.

What happened to the post saying Elon donated a new elementary school and we should go after billionaires who do not pay enough taxes?
When you delete the bonehead statements like that, you made my response look out of place. Also, the university functions like a billionaire in many ways.
