connie book is ruining elon

Connie Book is literally destroying greek life at Elon as we know it. She is the literal worst and it's so sad to see this happening. Most people here that I know were ATTRACTED to Elon because of its awesome greek community, not just the pretty campus or the academics or how nice the people are or the warm weather.
Now, all the frats are in trouble and the sororities will be next after they go. If Leo were still here this would not be happening at such a scale. WE, the student body here at Elon, need to take a stand now and advocate for our greek life before it's too late.
This is no longer about ranks and popularity and who got the best pc - there will be no ranks and pcs when all the sororities and frats are gone.
We need to fight for greek life on this campus to stay and we need to fight NOW. Who's with me?

I agree with everything you said. Kap Sig is evidence of this, and soon enough sororities are gonna be droppin left and right. It's time to unite and tell Connie Book that we, the students, the people literally keeping Elon in business, want our greek life. So happy you brought this to light girl.

Fraternity rankings and related BS have changed every 10 years or so - this trend will continue. The oldest fraternities at Elon: KS, Sigma Pi and Sig Ep eventually fell from being top tier and replaced by the likes of new fraternities of Sigma Chi, Lamda and Pi Kapp. Now we are seeing another shift in fraternity hierarchy with some of these recent top fraternities becoming irrelevant. Change is on the way and sometimes uncomfortable. New fraternities can become cool and relevant in a short period of time. Elon will always have 7 to 9 fraternities on campus. The off campus model only works for a 4 years or so.. \n\n\n\n\n

@EndGame. You are totally on point! School admin has 5 year plan to make Elon an all female school and the frat issue was something that was strategically standing in the way of their plan. Next year our poor school is on track to be 65% female and 30% male and 5% Other.

So, I think y’all need to read the news a little more. Across the country, colleges are looking for ways to admit more males. The gender ratio is a problem everywhere. Apparently, women are entering college at a far higher rate than men. This is not an Elon only issue.
Regarding the frat “crackdown” - research what is going on across the country- not an Elon only situation.

ALL the fraternities are taking their place soon, with the exception of DU and new Sig Pi. What don't you get???? This is the end of Elon as we know it. 9 sororities with only 2 frats? Pathetic. We need to take a stand against Connie, dude, or it's game over for all greek life.
YES, this greek purge is happening across the country. What did we learn from the Purge movies???? PURGING is BAD folks. VERY BAD.
Greek life is so much more than drinking and parties and mixers and formals and banquets and hookups. It really is. For anyone who thinks otherwise, you is wrong.
Greek life gave me a support system that lifts me up, not just socially, but also academically. I have grown so much from what my sisters have taught me, and have definitely become a much more mature and better person as a result. If we lose fraternities and sororities and greek life as a whole, where will we go for a home away from home once we leave the nest? Where will we find like-minded people, older and younger, or the same age? Where can we find brothers/sisters and the bonds that come with it, especially if we were an only child growing up? Where can we find motivation to do well in school, to do service, to do so so much. Where can we find a network for jobs and careers and internships? The answer to this is greek life, and ONLY GREEK LIFE.
Now is the time to take a stand, before it really becomes a problem. Do ya hear me????
