will sophomores have a chance

by:

I rushed but wasn’t happy with the outcome so I’ll probably drop. Are there good chances that I will get a bid next year during recruitment as a sophomore? How about informal recruitment this fall?

You need to ask yourself why you are dropping. Sorority not hot enough? Lower tier? Friends elsewhere? None of these things matter in the long run. If you drop and rush next year you will have to go to at least one round of this sorority that you are in.. kinda awkward. Remember many girls didn’t even get bids. Stick it out for a few weeks then decide...

Think long and hard about dropping. Give it time. Better to be in Greek Life at Elon than out. Trust me

Elon doesn’t have informal recruitment in the fall, so you’re better off trying to stick it out.

The process didn't work? This is where they tell you to stick it out and some of their best friends ever came from the sorority they didn't want to be in. It's all better than being independent.

Sororities are also less likely to take a lot of sophomores so it’s harder to get in

As others have said I would stick it out. This year many of my sophomore friends went through rush and ended up with the same houses as last year and not what they’d hoped they’d get. If you are dropping because it’s not “top tier” I wouldn’t.

The competition grows each year with more girls rushing. Give it time before you make a decision you might later regret
