is elon still full of yankees?

Just curious if Elon is still a huge Yankee school ? I visited 15 years ago and was shocked by all of the Yankee kids there..It appears they’ have run off all the natives and southerners. What’s the bring draw? Don’t y’all have schools above the line?

let me set the record straight:
there are and always will be more yankees than southerners at this school. the campus is beautiful. the greek life is fun and exclusive. the weather is better than it up north and elons national rep is shooting up. lets be honest here. southerners are inherently less intelligent and close minded than yankees. they also do not have as much money. elon wants money and national prestige and recruiting southern hicks is not going to get them there. this is isnt old elon, this is is the new

Elon is a great southern alternative for Yankees that cannot gain acceptance to UNC, UVA, UT Austin, Duke, Wake, UGA, Vanderbilt, etc., etc. etc. In addition these are the same kids that could not get into Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown, Swarthmore, etc. Basically the student's parents have enough money to send them OOS to college but they do not have the academic credentials for a more prestigious school. Harsh but 100% accurate.
