rush tips for girls
by: soccerluvr23
Hi Guys!!
I want to rush in January and have looked into a bit but nobody in my family has ever rushed. My friends from back home have all rushed but their experiences are obviously different due to different schools, and most of my upperclassmen friends here are unaffiliated. So, here I am, turning to Greekrank for some advice (even though rush is still a couple months away).
- How long is rush, and what do people wear each day?
- Instagram: public or private? If I have a good instagram feed, will making my instagram public benefit me? Also- if I do make it public, should I do some cleanup? What photos should be deleted if so?
- Do we need letters of recommendation. My friend from UGA went on reddit to find alums to write her letters for each sorority. Is that a thing here?
- Things girls look for in PNMs?
- Stuff not to talk about during rush?
- I know some schools let people rank their fave sororities 1 - 3 (one being top, 3 being bottom) and then they can receive a bid from any of those three. How does bids work here?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to look this over. Please let me know as I’m super confused and also trying to start shopping for outfits. ❤️❤️❤️

3-days. Wear trendy casual, trendy (like you are going to do a photo shoot with friends), and then trendy formal Instagram doesn’t matter unless you have a lot of followers. Public or private doesn’t matter as well, if we want you we will follow you/make connection. Letters of rec/legacy doesn’t really matter. The things sorority’s look for differ by “tier”
Top: hot, goes out/has connections with frats, weathly, trendy
Middle: cute/hot, involved, goes out, social, trendy, smart
Bottom: smart, involved
Don’t talk about boys, politics, alcohol, parties, money, religion
You will rank you top two after preference, we will rank you everyday. Bid matching process is the same as other schools.
