recommendation letters for rush

Sooo my aunt was a Zeta at A&M and I was wondering if it would be helpful if she wrote a recommendation letter for me to the Zeta chapter here for rush because I really do to be in zeta and want to take any advantage I can get! are recommendation letters common at elon?

A recommendation letter will not hurt, but don't present it in a haughty way. It's the equivalent of extracurricular stuff when trying to get into colleges.

No need to have letters here at Elon unless you have a very influential connection.

Most people at Elon don’t get rec letters, but a lot of girls who are legacies do. Since you’re a ZTA legacy it would prob be helpful for you to get one

An aunt does not mean you are a direct legacy. Direct legacies are grandmother, mother, sister... Zeta does pay some attention to indirect legacies, but many sororities do not.

Yes - Recommendation or legacy letters have more influence in
Southern schools. However, Elon’s studentbody is mostly from the Northeast and I venture to say a lot of 1st generation Greek participants.
