sigma question
by: dec26is it really true that to be given a bid to sigma every sophomore has to say yes to you and if one says no, you're out?

i’m not a sigma but i am in a sorority and i can’t imagine this being true. think about it, if every girl had to say yes to someone for them to get a bid, sororities would be much smaller. there will always be someone that doesn’t like you, even in your own sorority. trust me. (however i would say it’s true for any sorority that even just one girl can definitely keep you from getting in if she has a serious problem with you)

I want to be posh like Sigma girls. One of their scary sisters told me, "If you wanna be a Sigma, you gotta get with my friends, baby." Then she started blabbing about taking and having to give and how they judge you by your skull and to not be too sporty. Then she burped her ginger ale in my face. I still wannabe a Sigma Girl.

This is true. I know that Sigma is a very value based sorority and to get into Sigma you have to have something to offer that organization and not just be another pretty face. It may seem harsh that a lot of girls don't get into Sigma but this creates a group of girls who are good for each other and they have a close sisterhood.
