how selective are azd and sk?

I always hear about not getting your hopes up for the top sororities, but how worried should someone be about getting into AZD or SK? I really like them and just want to know what they look for

If any of that nonsense was true, that would mean top tiers are intentionally cutting girls with good GPA and lots of involvement.

AZD and SK attract a different type of girl and tend to be the backup for many girls who strive for top tier as well. It's not perfect, but that's the goal.

I really liked azd during rush but got dropped the first day. ANd i heard they dropped the most girls after the first day

They really mishandled Rush last year. For smart girls, they let their ego get in the way or something. I hope they smarten up and come with a better recruitment strategy this year, because the Middle is very competitive now.

Ya AZD drops anyone that they know already has shown an interest in going top tier. They do not want to waste their spots they know they are middle tier so they go for strong middle tier girls. SK thinks they are top but they are not even close so good luck girls,.

That's only kind of true. Last year due to the FSL Rush changes they cut way too many people, because they thought they would dominate the middle and pick off lots of the top tier. The middle was very competitive and SK, Delta and AOPi got a lot of girls they wanted and AZD actually had the worst class not that it was that bad. A lot of this was due to just a bad outdated Rush strategy.

Also, I don't think holding Greek Week against them is that big a deal. Yeah, they didn't do as well as the other middles, but the Dance is a lot of time that they do not have. Also, their philanthropy was good. The only thing I find suspect is how so little negative is said about them this whole summer. Just throwing in my 2 cents. Hope I do not come across biased.

AZD got the worst class out of DDD and SK last year, not that it was bad. Their philanthropy isn't nearly as good as DDD and SK and they didn't do as well in greek week. They have some great girls and a better sisterhood than SK but I would put them lower in ranking.
