Life is cruel, people don't have empathy and just carry on.
And hard decisions have to be made for those close to him.

First, it's a big school. Second, it was formals, not parties. Third, most people were somber, down, respectful, etc.
People are allowed to behave how they want. I don't have a problem with people who had no idea who he was continuing with their lives. I do have a problem with friends/acquaintances of his getting blasted because of Halloween.
I just ask that everyone take a time-out at some point. In a tragedy situation, do not let social dictators tell you how to act. Do what you think feels right. We're adults. And reach out to anyone around you that might be struggling with something.

That's just not true. A number of fraternities and clubs cancelled their parties on Saturday. However there were a few outliers.
