joining a sorority

I'm a freshman girl and am having a hard time making friends that have similar interests as me. I always have people to go to parties with but during the day I never have people to eat lunch/ have real conversations with and things like that. If I join a sorority in the spring will this help at all or is it all fake?

It will help but joining clubs of your interests help too. Good luck

going out is the best way to meet people. you can also go to org fairs and other things so that you can meet more people. greek lifes also not the only way to make friends - i personally am in greek life but am still friends with the people i met freshman year who are unaffiliated. join an intramural sport or do something else! greek life is great and once you see past all the petty comments on here, you will realize that no matter where you end up you can make friends. but you can also do that in a lot of places around this campus. just keep your head up and be open to trying new things :)
