I'm a sophomore girl and I didn't rush last year but almost all of my friends ended up rushing. They all love their sororities but I'm not sure if it's for me. Am I at a disadvantage not rushing?

You don't have friends and sophomores do not rush often. Stop trying to turn Greekrank into a tutorial for the late to the party GDI clingers.

Sorry those other responses were mean. Rushing as a sophomore is very difficult but if you have friends in a few sororitys you like then that helps. I say go for it because what have you got to lose. I love being in Greek life. Some advice I have is don't get your heart set on certain ones because as a sophomore it's going to be rough.

My suggestion to to talk to as many friends in houses as you can to tell them that you are super interested. As a sophomore you will need as many people pulling for you as you can. But, I think it can be done if you work super hard to network around the system. I'm a junior and rushed as a sophomore transfer last year and I've been really happy. You will need to do alot of work between now and recruitment but it can absolutely be done.
