which frats are friends with which frats

What fraternities associate with what fraternities? Are there specific cliques of fraternities or is it generally just done by tier?

I would say the only fraternities that associate with other fraternities in terms of hosting events together would be in the top tier (Lambda, KA, Kappa Sig, Sig Chi, Pi Kapp). I wouldn't say the fraternities as a whole are friends, they just work together to reach a common goal (ie having the best events with the most goals).

i'd argue lambda isn't really all in on this friend group. ex. that huge jterm day drink with every relevant frat except them

Yeah..KA, Kappa sig, and sig chi can actually be really petty with that kind of thing. Although rumor this could be changing soon.

That rumor is false. Lambda will never be in...and honestly KA isnt really invited to day drinks they kind of just show up and bring a keg.

You can kind of judge this based on who does joint day drinks. Pi Kapp, KA and Kappa Sig had a couple of joint day drinks last year. Lambda and Sig chi didn't join with people as much but would occasionally join in that mix.

Lambda doesn't need to join with other frats to get people at their day drinks. They have the best day drink house on campus, let alone the best houses on campus in general.

Plant is a sick house and can be huge for day drinks. But have you ever been by there on a day when other frats are throwing down too? It's practically empty sometimes

Exactly. Plant does have great day drinks but I think Lambda got a little bit of a wakeup call last year when they saw just how popular the Kappa sig, KA, sig chi joints can be (example Santacon). They will most likely be trying to break into that group this year.

Obviously if three frats are joining they're going to have more people at their day drinks, but lambda knows how to throw pretty damn good day drinks and parties in general and have a huge following of people that go to them.
I think Kappa sig should be worried this year. No one likes guys who beat up people for no reason.
