zeta just lost 10 members that failed to make grad
by: yepOh no. The grades issue is back with a vengeance. 10 members of Zeta just received notice that they failed to make minimum GPA requirements so will be unable to participate next semester. Incoming sophomore with initials 'SP' had the distinction of posting the lowest GPA ever of 1.2 and will not be able to participate next semester, at a minimum. Can't believe the group couldn't get it together to help each other out to boost the chapter GPA. Sad situation overall.

That's why your recruitment has to go beyond just being "hot" . I mean ya you can take a few super hot girls with borderline grades, but not so many that it hurts the chapter if they all mess up and party to much. Just not good recruitment strategy overall.

I have been chatting with a few of girls who didn't make grades in Zeta. They are embarrassed and don't know what to expect when they get back to school. At least the ones I talked to are able to come back to Elon but really haven't gotten any direction on what to do from their Zeta sisters. Looks like a tough start for the school year for some ex Zeta girls. I think all they want is to hear from their sorority on what to do and if they will be shunned.

To anyone considering zeta please think long and hard as this is a group in total crisis due to lack of leadership and lack of scholorship. The rumor is that the national is going to send an 'academic counselor' in the fall to work with those members that didn't make grades. Its sad though that when you don't make grades then you can't participate in recruitment or vote. What I don't get is why the officers didn't do more to help their sisters after first semester when it was obvious there was an issue? Do they simply not care? This lack of 'caring' is another issue for PNMs to consider as this group is in no way 'tight' like the sigmas. Sad that zeta can't figure this issue out as its now become a national embarassment. I heard SP's parents made a generous 'donation' to buy her way off of probation.

She's not a good example of taking a hot girl. She's more an attention girl, nothing without her Facebook and Instagram.
