After the sororities pick all the girls they want. There are usually some or lots of leftovers. They don't fit well anywhere, but Panhel makes you take them.

So each girl goes in front of a bunch of judges, 1 from each sorority. The girl has to answer why she did not think she got picked and why she will still be a good sister. Then she has to undress, turn for the judges and 1 of them will usually accept her into their sorority with first option going to the top tier, than middle tier and then bottom tier. She's not supposed to talk about it or the process, but clearly the girls do. Sometimes they get a challenge question. Most sororities will deny anything about the snap bid process.

Don't be a snapper, those girls tend to be fishy and everyone knows you were not around during Rush, so you can't hide it. But if you are a snapper just try to build friendships and by Junior year it might be irrelevant, but you won't get to be an officer or anything.

They do not make you undress. They just ask you to wear something form fitting and a jacket or shawl. Jeez, you made it sound like a meat market. You might have to do a walk and they kind of make you go through an accelerated Rush afterwards. It can be really hard.

the night before bid day each girl picks their #1 choice after pref. once every sorority gets all this info back, some sororities don't end up having enough girls that they preffed want to come back for bid day. they need to make a national/elon quota and so they go through the girls who either dropped themselves out at some point during the rush week or who were dropped by said sorority. i don't know more details than that since my sorority hasn't needed to do snap bids since i've been here.

You do not know. In fact, there's a good chance this year, you might get snapped up by Phi Mu. That would be a nightmare.

how is it done

First, you have to get turned down by your top choices. Then some sorority that might have Pref'd you, but you rejected is allowed to choose you if they did not hit quota. Both sides are embarrassed to do this. They often ask you really personal stuff and haze you worse for a very short period. Then you automatically are part of the sorority. That's the easy part. Over the next semester, you have to interact with everyone with the awkwardness of being a Snap. You are an embarrassment to that sorority, but they have to work with you. You will have to work extra hard to catch up on the bonding. Most Snaps always go abroad the next semester. After that they get close with some girls and get a fresh start next semester. Not all snaps are 2nd class sisters, but most end up that way. On Bid Day, you get all the fake hugs and "What's your name again?"

Sigma and zeta give the most snap bids because they think they are so hot that they over cut. This is what happens and there is nothing that you can do. everyone knows who the people are who got the snap bids and its hard to really become part of the sorority

I am going to be a senior and as far as I know Zeta is the only sorority to give snap bids. I know there is a person on greek rank who says they are a sigma snap but that is simply not true. I do know that zeta has not liked the snapping but if not enough girls pref your organization that can happen.

In this topic, no one has accurately explained what a snap bid is. In fact, it is hilarious how full of crap most of the comments are. And No, I won't explain it. I will explain it to people who want to rush my sorority.

One of our officers is a Snap. She is great. Everyone knows and we love her.

Snaps vary too. The bid process is not perfect.
