zeta taking pledges with major grade issues
by: outI have heard from a number of people that Zeta took on a number of pledges with borderline grade issues and if this is true and the grades don't trend upward this semester they could lose 30+% of their class. Has anyone else heard this?

The Panhellenic Association’s nine National Panhellenic Conference sororities have all made a commitment to scholarship and academics. The Panhellenic Association has set a GPA minimum of 2.8 in order to participate in any recruitment activities. Exceptions are granted in rare cases when there are extreme extenuating circumstances.
Appeals were made and for some reason accepted for a number of the ZTA pledges. Also, the latest GPA information has not been posted yet. So, I guess we have to wait. Chapter must be stressed by all this academic pressure. I feel sorry for them that they had to dig so deep as to accept marginal academic performers into their house as it will only make things harder going forward unless the people involved have ongoing personal tutors. Sad situation that the ladies posting here aren't posting to defend having solid academic performance in the house but rather continue to talk about being 'hot'. They might think they are 'hot' but I DO NOT!

Spring 2016? Dated information. Not relevant. The chapter has been on the bleeding edge of academic probation for nearly a year and are now waking up. But its a bit too late and taking a bunch of academically challenged pledges really wasn't a good decision. My suggestion is to impose a study schedule and hire a bunch of tutors. At this point you need to be building a case to support not shutting your chapter down to the school and your national.

I suggest that any zta that doesn't have a 3.0 gpa should have to wear a dunce cap all the time. This way the poor idiot will always remember that there is an issue and that studying is important. The dunce cap can be removed once the gpa goes up. My guess is that over 60% of the house would be wearing dunce caps.

I love the dunce cap idea!!! Can you imagine if they came up with a Lilly Pulitzer version of a dunce cap and all the ZTAs that had poor gpa would have to wear them all the time in public! Wow, we would be faced with watching all these Lilly dunce caps walking around campus, sitting in class and generally lounging around. Hilarious. These are not the sharpest tools in the shed to be sure.

Grades were finally posted and the calculation look grim for zeta! Guess some of the marginal new initiates did in fact sink the ship.... Curious to see how many of this years class will have to go. Wonder what national will say about your performance ladies... Takes alot of really hard work to collectively drop a groups GPA by nearly 3/4 of a point. Well done.

Do the math dummies. How can you pull that GPA down to below 2.8?
