zeta taking pledges with major grade issues

by: out

I have heard from a number of people that Zeta took on a number of pledges with borderline grade issues and if this is true and the grades don't trend upward this semester they could lose 30+% of their class. Has anyone else heard this?

They say that every year. It never happens. Always top tier in some form.

I think it's quite interesting is that the only 'almost' commentary from a supposed zeta is a snarky response about being 'hot' and not about sisterhood or anything relating to the original post which was about GRADES! I guess the reason the grades are substandard is because there is an inability to read a very simple question and give a very simple answer. Based on how this question is being dealt with so far my guess is that we are looking at 30% fewer of the so-called 'hot' zetas. So funny how the old adage about believing someone the first time when they tell you who they are very much relates to the ZETA sisters.

Love this thread! So true that these ladies are the dum dums of the campus. We party with these ladies because we have to based on rank (theirs and ours). Now, many of us kinda think these ladies are lame and so if their rank dropped then we wouldn't have to party with them. This would be a win-win as there are other houses we would prefer to party with that we really can't do too much with now given the rankings. It looks like these gals are heading toward the middle of the pack with how they are perceived on campus so hopefully by next fall we will be partying with different houses. YAHOO!!!!!

That adage must be stupidly old like you.
Why do you think anyone is who they say they are on the internet?
You are clearly someone who needs to get past your crippling out of date life experiences. It's a new world grand-mama.

I think it's ironic, that you say Zeta is just hot girls. But now that they might have less 30% less hot girls, it will be their downfall.

There's a rating under Zeta by some girl that said she did not rush this year because of Zeta. Talk about a loser. That's like a slap in the face to the rest of the Greek Sisterhood too.

Also, your point gets crippled by your spelling/typing. Do better.

not saying i love zeta, and it's true that they have the 2nd lowest GPA on campus, but they're not dumb enough to post things like "we are hot. deal with it." Those posts are from idiotic trolls trying to make zeta look even worse than they already do...

I'm not sure @rly that I agree...the zeta trolls are all over greekrank to respond to posts....the 'hot' response happened almost immediately after original posting...just think its sad if a zeta did really make that post as its almost as irrelevant and they are!

This situation is about to get real now! I heard today that the deans office has asked for a recalculation of GPA stats for all houses (not just zeta) along with gpa stats on the incoming pledge classes. If there are as many borderline situations as people thing then there will be consequences for zeta. I also wondered if someone at zeta did the basic math to see the impact on their overall gpa of taking on the pledges that they did take on this year. What I heard was that if the stats are compiled with the incoming pledge class that the overall gpa level is below national acceptable level. Note to zeta: this is an issue!

Stfu, they do not ask for the GPA's. They have them already. Can't you people enjoy Spring Break like normal students?

Zeta is already ranked as middle tier house based on latest rankings. The issue is whether they are top middle or middle middle. Based on the comments here it seems like at best they are middle middle tier.

Back up your GPA statements with fact. For instance, I saw on the GL website their fall 2016 GPA was 3.357. While it Is not the highest, it's respectable, and certainly not as dire as you all intimated. The way you all were carrying on, it sounded like their GPA was below a 2.0. Facts please.

Facts are on their way. Just waiting for the final calculations. I also am not sure that the 2016 fall gpa was 3.357 as that seems high given the ZTA historical trend. The rumor I heard was that with the new pledge class that the GPA would fall to 2.70-2.85 range which is low even for these ladies. There are at least 4 pledges that had GPAs in the 2.0-2.2 range. Stay tuned.

So 4-5 girls will bring the whole GPA down by a half point? Sure. Go on.
