The person above me has it right. AOII has risen but definitely is NOT past Delta, but EK really is that low.

You could take the letters off the girls in delta, SK, and AOPi and you wouldn't know which girl belonged to which sorority. Those groups don't do much to separate themselves from each other. I would have put KD in that group last year, but not after this years PC!

Honestly if azds new PC took off their letters they could fit into that category too they would look like girls in delta aopi and sk I don't think they're that much greater than any of the other mid tier sororities now

Really can't take too much on this site seriously. If you see sororities like KD or SK ranked higher than they are here, it's because their own girls are ranking. From an outsider view, this is right.

honestly, there are good looking girls in every single sorority at elon. if you took letters off girls in both middle and top tier sororities, you wouldn't be able to tell which ones belonged to which sorority.

thanks for agreeing with me! I definitely think girls rank their sorority higher than it is but this one is pretty accurate! i think it is sad how obsessed girls can be over ranking.. you should be in a sorority for the right reasons and if you love it should not care about its ranking on this site. I definitely agree that AOII, DDD and SK all have the same types of girls, and it is definitely true that if you take off the letters of girls in sororities it would be hard to distinguish everyone. This is true because during recruitment the pichis are impossible to guess! Just because a sorority is ranked a certain way does not mean they are better than anyone else or that the girls are cooler and happier. The rankings are mostly on physical appearance and frats the girls associate with. There are amazing girls everywhere and each sorority has a combination of girls that make up their unique sisterhood.

agreed. all the sororities are the same and for most of the girls you can't even guess which sororities they're in. the rankings just don't matter and it's all in some peoples heads. there is no top and bottom tiers.

tri sig is rising. generally most people think the order is now phi mu, sigma, zeta. zetas can't even have formal, they can't have social events and the girls barely even know each other. at least phi mus and sigmas are close.

axd is catching up to zeta. at this point the new girls in axd are way cooler than the new girls in zta. we'll see if next year's pc's will boost axd to the top.

Many things:
1) Sigma Kappa is so irrelevant, it's not even negotiable. They've fallen so hard and they're desperate attempts to say otherwise are pathetic.
2) True, AOII did only get one good pledge class but its a fantastic one. Still, below Delta but definitely above Sigma Kappa (see #1)
3) The hell? ZTA might have fallen but AZD is almost as bad with self ranking as Sigma Kappa. AZD is rising, Zeta is falling, but that gap is still there and won't close for another few years. Plus, AZD didn't have that good of a pledge class. I expected more of them and they lost a lot to AOII actually (See #2)

agreed for the most part, except i do think that azd was one of the sororities who got an unusually good pledge class. its important because it influences what type of pledge class they will get next year. the sororities who got sub par girls are going to end up with more sub par girls being recruited the next year. so there might still be a gap, but it won't take "a few years" to close. i'm saying this as someone who isn't affiliated with any sorority.

Phi Mu- best pc by far.
Sigma
Zeta- sigma definitely got a better pc and zeta unfortunately slipped a little this year. Since sigma/ zeta are pretty close I would say next year will be a make or break for zeta.
AxiD- they have a really good pledge class but no one is absolutely stunning to the point where they would be top tier. I think they need some star girls, combined with the sisters they already have.
DDD/ SK- definition of middle tier. this years SK pc is better than deltas. The SK pc is filled with much better girls and delta has an interesting bunch. I think the older deltas are what allow to stay such a solid middle.
AOII- this years pc puts them in the middle but overall they are not above SK or DDD
KD- they did get some better girls but they always take some interesting people.
AXO- still are and probably will always be the bottom

i agree with most of what you said except the "star girls" part. the sororities with the "star girls" have the least close sisterhood because it becomes SO cliquey. the tier status is entirely defined by that small 5% of girls, while the rest of the sorority is middle tier at best. a sorority is stronger when it doesn't have a tiny "star girls" clique. the girls in those types of sororities are also less happy because of the blatant favoritism within the sisterhoods.

AOII did better this year than KD so I'd still put AOII slightly above them. Sigma and Zeta are probably the same level and everything else looks good!

i agree with most of the rankings on here, only based on how the sororities are perceived at elon. this tends to only be a ranking of physical appearance.
however, in terms of closeness the mid-upper/mid-middle tiers are the closest, then bottom, then top, with the exception of sigma where girls actually like being involved with the sorority's activities.
