rush
by: weAs a freshman I secretly looked at this website hoping to understand what truly went on with greek life. Although most of the things on this website are mostly wrong with slight truth to a lot I would like to give some insight to whatever freshman are reading this. Don't worry about rush right now everything works out. You will see organizations like Zeta who spend the whole semester commenting on every freshmans pictures, taking them on dates and making you feel special. Please see through it. They spend their whole semester rushing freshman to make sure they get the "prettiest" and "most known" girls instead of forming an actual sisterhood. When it comes to senior year half of their pledge class desisters because they realize its all so fake . Zeta only cares about their reputation and seemingly like they all love it when in reality their pledge classes are divided. There is a reason why phi mu and sigma get alon and have a group chat together and hang out. Both sorroities understand what it means to be genuine and form real friendships which is what greek life is about.

This couldn't be more true. As someone who was getting rushed by Zeta and could have gone that way, I look back and regret nothing. I'm glad I chose an organization based on girls who I knew were looking out for my best interest. I've already heard of 3 girls saying they wish they went a different way yet they are rushing girls for zeta very hard. Super fake and sad if you think about it.

as a freshman when i got rushed it was super overwhelming. ppl in zeta would pretend to be my best friends and act super sweet and make me feel really special... i first thought about joining them because they were all so nice to me and seemed to want to get to know me. i ended up choosing a different organization with my best friend and the minute i pledged elsewhere all the zetas stopped talking to me. it's all fake af and for show and the ones who rush you hard are desperate to have more choices for them to pick the "most popular" girls. it's really hard to not feel special and feel like everyone wants you in their org but be careful because they might be doing it not because they care about you but they want all the freshmen to want THEM. join where you see genuine girls who you can make a connection with, not a bunch of girls who just act friendly on the surface on social media.

You clearly aren't in phi mu so don't speak for them. The phi mus I know are close with sigmas and don't care if they are "above" or "below" sigma. When you are truly happy with your organization you think and know it's the best despite what other people say. You don't need rankings to make you feel better. Zeta is just a name and a few over publicized pretty faces on campus... nothing more.
