rush question
by: JGI'm from New Jersey and next year I'm coming to Elon and definitely rushing. I've already been reached out to by girls from Phi Mu and Sigma, but most of the freshman I've talked to have been pursuing Zeta. Is it safe to just stick to two, or should I make an effort for all three? I'm athletic and blonde so I'm not too worried since I have all first semester, but I'd rather lay down some strong foundations now! Thank you :)

definitely consider all three! zeta is great and there are some really nice girls in it, but phi mu and sigma are also great sororities. sigma definitely got the best pledge class this year, so that would be a good sorority to consider and although phi mu didn't do that well this year some of their older girls are really great.

you don't pick one or two to pursue-- you go through the recruitment process and will attend all the houses and have a fair chance at all that are fair to you! Totally do not worry about this first semester at all. Go out, make friends, meet people in your building, find clubs, don't even worry about recruitment until picking your outfits in j-term!

nope. you should definitely get to know sisters in the fall. don't be weird about it, making friends is normal, but the only way the stereotypes will break is if you go out and see for yourself instead of waiting all year to come up on 4 days of a mad house rush where you talk to 1% of a sorority before choosing where you want to go.
