Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 2.2 I’ve met a few nice DZ’s but even they seem to have a problem with being a DZ. Their sisterhood for sure lacks. They seem to all tear each other down to try and make their friend group within the sorority seem better than the others. Their not really involved on campus or with the other sororities and fraternities they really do keep to themselves.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 4.4 My roommate is a DZ and she absolutely loves it! I know that the girls are super sweet to her and they have a strong sisterhood. I see Delta Zeta’s around campus and out and they always seem to have a great time and have a really tight friendship as a whole. I know that they’ve also had set backs but after hearing stuff about them they really seem to be growing as a chapter and as a sisterhood. They’re also some of the sweetest girls on campus. If I had the means I definitely would have rushed my freshman year and gone DZ

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 1.0 As a former DZ i can honestly say it was one of the worst experiences i've encountered. I went through bullying all through high school, and i was so excited to be in a sorority where i would have a chance to get friends. However, people started hating me for no reasons. I would apologize all the time and try to make friends and hang out, but everyone always ignored me. When i got my little i thought things were looking up but then she dropped so i was alone again. I honestly just never could have imagined it being that bad, EXEC shunned everyone who wasnt their friend, and if you didnt belong to a clique, then you didn't belong at all. I had preffed DZ and Tri Delt and I willing chose DZ because of how they all made me feel during rush. However, none of those feelings are real, as soon as they get their numbers they just disregard anyone who they don't think really should've got in. Some people were really good to me, but others made me feel sick to my stomach everytime i knew i had to come to a Monday meeting or ill be fined. One of my only friends in DZ got a anonymous message saying she was dead to DZ and that she never belonged anyways right after she dropped. They had no idea how much stuff she was going through at the time and it really pushed her over the edge, i felt so bad for her. We couldn't do anything about it because no one knew who sent it, however she never got an apology from anyone. I had to hold her for days while she cried because she gave so much to people who made her feel so bad about herself. I'm sure DZ had redeeming qualities and the amount of fundraising they do is nice, but its not worth the 250 a month bill. God forbid you get on bad standing and youre Forbid to do ANYTHING besides one social (if they have a social) and possibly a formal. Having to sit on an opposite side of the room and not say a word but still pay the monthly fees. It's garbage and they are the only sorority i know that goes to such lengths for bad standing. Basically there are better sororities, but if you think DZ is THE ONE FOR YOU, then go for it. Some people really like, i pray none of the new members go through what i went through.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 2.4 They are really working hard to improve. Some really cute and sweet girls and a lot of the mean ones have graduated. Just a tough reputation to overcome in terms of being last choice for many during Recruitment. Would love to see them continue to improve so we could have 5 equally strong groups. They do have a lot to offer.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 2.2 before y’all wanna attack me, i was in this chapter and decided to leave for multiple reasons, so i know what i’m talking about. if you’re looking for a sorority with a solid sisterhood, go somewhere else bc dz isn’t it. i hope they’re actively trying to fix that because it’s awful how they speak about each other behind their backs. dz has a MAJOR clique problem, many groups of girls hating others for no real reason. they are very involved with their philanthropy which is a positive! but they brand themselves as “different” and “not your typical sorority” which is not true at all. a sorority is a sorority is a sorority. if any chapter tells you that they’re “different” they’re not. these girls need a real fix, and the past few (and current) exec board just aren’t the right girls to fix it. someone needs to address the problems at hand so girls don’t keep dropping because of poor treatment! that’s the reason they always cob, you lose 10-20 girls a semester you have to make up for it somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at Stephen F. Austin State University - SFASU 4.0 I'm not gonna lie, DZ isn't bad at all. It's not what everyone makes it out to be. The main issue is they talk bad about each other in public all the time, especially EXEC and older members. They go through recruitment and talk about forgiveness nd sisterhood but they are so easy to judge each other and talk bad about people who think they are their friends. It hurts a lot of people in the sorority, im not in a sorority for this reason, but I do hang out with DZ's so I hear a lot of the gossip, and some of the girls shouldn't be talked about they way yall talk about them. I'm not being rude im just saying everything yall have is amazing, the one thing you need to work on is kindness and love with each other. It's gotten out of hand this year and its only October. I believe in you, just grow up and be nice.
