frat breakdown

All-campuses start this weekend, so what better time to talk frats? Here's a rough current ranking and some comments. There is no ranking within tiers.

TOP TIER
KA - Known as the 'athlete frat.' Most attractive guys all around, although they can be a little dismissive to girls in lower sororities or GDIs. Mixers with them are usually great, but they don't have the best all-campuses.
Kappa Sig - Kind of douchebag/preppy guys, very fratty. Kappa Sigs have been in a lot of hot water with the university and the press lately, and because of that seem to go out of their way to self-promote and tear other frats down. Regardless, they remain top and do throw a good party.
TDX - The "stoner" frat. Super chill, quirky guys who seem to have a great brotherhood. Everyone loves hanging out with them, but they can be a bit unreliable in terms of mixers and don't throw very many all-campus parties. When you can pin them down, though, they're super nice people and a lot of easy-going fun.

UPPER MID
Sig Chi - Sig Chi has a long history at Stanford and across the nation, and because of this, the guys are very proud of their brotherhood and traditions. Known as the 'country' frat, the brothers are pretty 'fratty' as well. They throw a MEAN all-campus party - usually with great setup, etc (Glow party, Lei Day, Let's Get Physical, etc), but individually can be a little odd or hard to talk to at mixers.
