Greek life big at Stanford?

Potential transfer student here. I am in a sorority at the university I'm at right now and Greek life is pretty big here. How big of a deal is Greek life at Stanford? I really appreciate any insight!!!!

I would say Greek life is taken more seriously at Stanford than at our peer institutions (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc.), but certainly less seriously than at a USC, Southern school, etc. I think historically 20-30% of the student body is in Greek life.

If you're in it, there's plenty of events and things to do. If you're not, there's tons of other things going on to participate in. Greek life is just one of many great social outlets at Stanford.

Not big but very competitive for top houses. You have to know members before rush unless you are an athlete, look like a model or are a woc
